The Vancouver Resonance Festival (VRF) brings together outstanding choirs, symphony orchestras, wind bands, chamber ensembles, and special performance groups from around the world to gather in Vancouver — one of the most culturally diverse and naturally breathtaking cities in Canada — to perform, learn, and connect through music on international stages.
Held each summer in Vancouver’s premier concert venues, including the historic Orpheum Theatre and other major performing arts spaces in the city, VRF creates a truly international artistic platform. Musicians from different nations and cultural backgrounds come together to build bridges through music, forming connections that transcend borders and continents. Surrounded by mountains and ocean, the festival offers a uniquely inspiring artistic environment where nature and culture meet.
VRF is thoughtfully designed to welcome choirs, symphony orchestras, wind bands, chamber orchestras, and distinctive performance groups within one integrated festival framework. Participating ensembles may choose between:
• International Performance Showcase (Non-Competitive Division)
• International Competition Division
Beyond the concert stage, VRF features the VRF Academy, offering high-level masterclasses and professional artistic guidance led by internationally respected conductors, performers, and educators. Distinguished professionals serve both as jury members in the Competition Division and as faculty within the Academy, providing meaningful artistic feedback and fostering international dialogue.
